SPARTA - Audrey E. Baumbach, 91, of Sparta, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at the Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. She was born August 24, 1928, to Roy and Rachel (Wadel) Lash in Burns Township.
Audrey married Ronald Baumbach on June 23, 1948, in Burr Oak. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church. Audrey loved to talk on the phone and enjoyed baking and knitting.
Audrey is survived by her four children, Michael (Patricia) Baumbach of Appleton, Jeffrey (Connie) Baumbach of Sparta, Gregory Baumbach of River Falls, and Cheryl (Gordon) Vetsch of Dubuque, IA. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; her parents, Roy and Rachel; a sister, Winifred (Wilber) Huber; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dorwin (Jeanne) Baumbach, and Ramona (Lyle) Wing.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Monday, June 22, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Sparta, with Reverend John Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
