   ANGELO - Lettie V. Daniels, 73, of Angelo, WI, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI.

   Lettie was born April 17, 1947, to Edward and Velma (Straight) Brooks.  She was married to Robert “Bob” Wayne Carlson for 17 years before he passed away in 1984.  

   Lettie met her best friend and second husband, Paul, in 1984, whom she married in 1989.  Lettie loved babies and for many years she did infant care out of her home.  She later moved to WI, where she began working at Handishop Industries in Tomah.  She loved helping people; both in caring for babies and helping those with special needs.  The people she worked with appreciated Lettie’s caring, compassionate manner.  

   Lettie loved to be busy and in her free time she enjoyed golfing, reading, doing puzzles, feeding, and watching the birds and gardening.  In her younger years she loved to go camping, fishing, and bowling.  She had many friends who enjoyed being with her.  But Lettie lived for her family and cherished any time spent with them. 

   Lettie is survived by her husband Paul; children, Sue (Dave) Hanson and their daughter, Emily; and Arnold (Chris) Carlson and their children Ashley and Brian Carlson; one great grandson, Eric McMinn; nieces and nephews, David (Chris) Gerke, Cheryl (Joe) Pitsch, Stewart Yahnke, Dawn Engen; along with many great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and good friends. 

   Lettie was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, Bob; sisters, Beulah “BB” Fick, Beverly Yahnke, Rachel Marnach; and one brother, Spencer Brooks.

   Family will be having a celebration of life for Lettie at a later date.  Memorials may be made in Lettie’s name to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3 International Drive, Suite 200, Rye Brook, NY 10573.
