February 13, 1951—April 6, 2018

COLORADO - Michael “Soup” Alan Campbell, age 67, passed away on April 6, 2018.

He was born in Sparta, WI, on February 13, 1951, to Reginald and Helen (Ebert) Campbell. He grew up on their farm in Pleasant Valley. Soup attended schools in Pleasant Valley and Sparta, WI. His sister, Phyllis Flint of Footville, Wisconsin, and his brother, Charles “Tony” (Ann) of Madison, Wisconsin, survive him, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends in Colorado, Wisconsin, and Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, including his Mother when he was only six-years-old; a brother Wayne, and a brother Tom.

At an early age, Mike “Soup” moved to Colorado. He worked as a truck driver, farm hand, and Farm Animal Recycling Technician, at major cattle yards in the Sterling, Colorado area.

Soup was soft-spoken and quick-witted. He loved to party with his friends. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed word play, banter, and helping others. Mike’s favorite bird was the meadowlark. He enjoyed taking his dog for a run while he drove his four-wheeler.

After being diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Mike was very thankful to be under the excellent care of the Sterling Living Center and Home Hospice Care. Deep gratitude also goes to John Bell, a good friend and neighbor who went above and beyond in his support of Mike.
