JACKSON - On October 31st, at approximately 8:30 am, Amy Jean Davis (Jaeger) passed away in Jackson, WI. Amy took her last breath in the arms of her loving daughter (Syd) and husband (Dale), in their home. After a nearly five-year battle with cancer, and the last few weeks surrounded by her family and dearest friends, Amy fell asleep one last time. While her departure is a tragic reminder of how indiscriminate cancer often is, her final hours were a Boombastic celebration of love and living out loud.

The story of Amy is one of a cherished family, a young love that lasted a lifetime, a beloved daughter that she never stopped rallying for, and friendships that stood the test of time. Amy was simply a joy to be with—she loved to sing in her car, shop for anything and everything, cuddle with her beloved cats, and admire the works of her brilliant daughter, Syd. Amy went by many nicknames (Amer, Pearl, Amos, Amil, Knucklehead), each symbolizing a special relationship and the distinct love she shared with her friends and family members. However, it was the love she shared with her husband and soulmate of 34 years, Dale, that burned brightest of them all.

As a young girl, her parents (Gary & Donna) saw glimpses of who Amy would become. She loved playing in the rivers and lakes of Wisconsin. Amy was a very happy girl who liked her alone time, but also took pride in dressing up everyday. Amy helped raise her younger siblings, Garrett and Jacelyn, with whom she shared an enormous love and friendship that transcended time and physical distance. That all of these traits persisted through her life highlights another wonderful facet of Amy Jean: that she was a dependable rock of a woman.

Amy and Dale shared the type of love you only see in the movies–one that defied challenges, and only got stronger with time and adversity. The respect, admiration, and unparalleled love that fueled their storybook marriage was a force that sustained their happiness through difficult years tested by illness and uncertainty. The power of such love animates the world around it; positively impacting all those fortunate to observe it.

Amy inspired all those who knew her with her grace, signature sense of style, sharp wit, kindness, and immutable strength. Throughout her life she lived by some of the Jaeger family creeds as she may not have had a barrel of money, but she always knew why it was time to get up in the morning.. because it’s gonna be a beautiful day.

Amy was preceded in death by her Brother (Jimmie Jaeger), Father-in-law (Phil Davis) and her Grandparents. Amy is survived by her: Husband (Dale Davis) and Daughter (Syd Davis); Father (Gary Jaeger) and Mother (Donna Jaeger); Brother (Garrett (Gina) Jaeger) and Sister (Jacelyn Jaeger); Best Friend (Andrea Hopkins); Mother-in-law (Paulette Davis); Sister-in-Law (Patti (Randy) Domnie); Sister-in-law (Beth (Lisa) Davis); many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Dear friends, and the gifts of her Nieces (including her namesake, Gemma Jean) and Nephews.
