TOMAH - Andrew J. Weber, “AJ” 28, of Chicago and formerly of Tomah and Oshkosh, died Friday, January 12, 2024, at University of Chicago Medicine. He was born to Joseph Weber and Julie Bowens-Gebczyk on March 28, 1995. AJ grew up in the Oshkosh area, before moving to Tomah. He was a member of the Tomah Senior High School Graduating Class of 2013. He started working for Verizon and later Walgreens. He attended Western Wisconsin Technical College and received his associate degree as Emergency Medical Technician. AJ had a caring heart and always wanted to help people. He recently moved to Chicago to be the caretaker for his nephew. AJ had a tremendous love for his pets;, his 2 cats Budders and Toby, and his yorkie Buddy that recently passed away and took a huge part of his heart with him. He was a dreamer and had a fantastic imagination. He enjoyed going to the Renaissance Festival and taking hikes. AJ’s desire to help people didn’t end upon his death, as he was a Gift of Hope Donor. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother Julie (Tyrell) Gebczyk, his father Joseph Weber, 3 sisters, Samantha Thao of Manitowac, Ashley Weber of Tomah, and Misty Curtis of Chicago, 6 nieces and nephews, Brayden, Amaya, Abel, Logan, Olivia, and Malekai, his paternal grandmother Nancy Weber, a step grandmother Kathryn Gebczyk, aunts, Angela Bailey of TN, Courtney (Michael) Hubert of Green Bay, Kimberly Weber of Oshkosh, a uncle David (Andria) Weber of Oshkosh, many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather Michael Weber, his maternal grandparents, Phyllis Moore and Kenneth Bowens, and a step grandfather Kevin Gebczyk.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Gerke will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
