STRUM - David George Six, 74, of Strum, WI, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Rolling Meadows facility in Strum.
David was born December 26, 1948, in Fairfield, Iowa. He was the oldest of four children born to George and June Six. David’s siblings are Donald, Ronald, and Deborah Six. Their father worked on a pipeline which required them to move around the country. Tennessee, Texas, Colorado and eventually Washington were some of the many places he lived.
David graduated from high school in 1968 and then enlisted in the US Airforce on February 11, 1969. He served in Vietnam and Indochina before being honorably discharged June 15, 1972.
He was employed in the logging industry where he operated a skid steer, and was a choker setter. David was an avid artist and drawing was his specialty. This is something that he did long into retirement.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at The Torkelson Funeral Home, 1132 Angelo Rd., Sparta, WI. Burial with full military honors will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 12:00 p.m. in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery, Spooner, WI.
