   TOMAH - Jason John Anderson, 52, of Tomah, passed away peacefully January 8, 2024 with his wife, Kim, his mother, Juanita Strenke and his sister, Kim Broyer by his side.

   Jason was born on February 27, 1971 to Richard Anderson and Juanita (Allen) Strenke. He graduated from Luck High School in 1989. After high school Jason joined the Marine Corps and spent time in San Diego CA and Japan. Upon leaving the military Jason enjoyed the work he did for many years at Tire Experts in Milltown WI. In 2005, he moved to Tomah, WI and worked for 13 years at the VA Medical Center.

   Jason married Kim Anderson on June 14th, 2014. Jason and Kim enjoyed spending time with their dogs and birds over the years. Jason was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Nascar and spent much of his free time watching sports.

   Jason battled cancer for the last five years but continued to be positive throughout. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

   Jason is survived by his wife Kim; mother Juanita Strenke; brothers Kevin Anderson and Keith Anderson; sisters Jodi Anderson and Kim Broyer (Steve); step-brother Rick Strenke (Jolene) and many nieces and nephews.

   Jason is preceded in death by his father Richard Anderson, infant brother John Anderson, stepfather LeRoy Strenke and uncle Herbert Allen.

   He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

   A Celebration of Jason’s life will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah.  Burial full military honors will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin at a later date.  The Torkelson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences are available at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com.
