June 10, 1960 — March 4, 2024

WILTON - Kim Ballwahn, 63, of Wilton, went home to meet Jesus on March 4, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kim was born on June 10, 1960 to Kenny and Fern Ballwahn.  He was a 1978 Royall High School graduate which we cannot hold against him. He married Rosalynda Towne on July 11, 1983 and they had two children, Adam and Heidi. He worked at Northern Engraving in Sparta for 27 years as a Sheet Prep Forman. He coached Hank’s Honey’s Softball Team which gave him great joy, headaches, and hangovers. But more than anything, Kim was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching sports of all kinds especially the ones his children and grandchildren participated in. Kim was also a chauffeur for his children and all their friends. He coached youth flag football, summer rec, and 3-on-3 basketball tournaments. Kim never failed to not remember an embarrassing story about you and would never let you live it down. He enjoyed playfully picking on people he cared about. Kim made sure to always call his wife, children, grandchildren, and other family members to ensure they made it safely to their destination or just to check to see how they are doing. He always called to let us know the County Trucks were out. Kim enjoyed his grandson Carter stopping over at his house just so they could talk about school, practice, or a game. That’s the reason Kim always made sure there was a Pepsi on hand for Carter at Grandpa’s house. Kim enjoyed his good morning and good night text messages from his grandson, Jacob and picking on him about what sports team he was supporting for that week. Kim looked forward to every Friday as he was able to help watch and care for his granddaughter, Bailey. He was stand in father for many people who needed one. Kim was kindhearted and giving without expecting something in return. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Kim is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rosalynda. His son Adam, and his son Jacob. His daughter Heidi (Ed) Skinner and their children Carter Arbuckle and Bailey. His brothers Larry (Arlis) and Jeff (Jenny). His sisters Carol Thompson and Patti (Ron) Parker. His sisters-in-law Barb Ballwahn and Kathy Ballwahn. His wife’s family, brothers – Roger (Linda), Terry (Evelyn), Billy (Sue), Dickie, Merton (Linda), Ted, Justin, and Adrian (Rita) and sisters – Judy, Hope, Joy, Juanda (Devan), Roxie (Fred), and Veronica. and sister-in-law, Pat Towne. Along with many loved nieces and nephews.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Ronnie and Dick, nephew David Ballwahn.  His father-in law and mother-in-law, Harold and Margaret Towne, brothers-in-law Ed Towne, Marty Towne, Jim Bennett, and Roger Amacher, and sisters-in-law, Doris Towne, Iris Olson, Brenda Towne, Rose Towne, and Rosemary Towne.
