WARRENS - Marvin H. Laack, 89, of Warrens died on November 18, 2023 at his home. Marvin was born on November 2, 1934 to Henry and Edna (Hess) Laack in Summit Township, Juneau County. He was baptized December 2, 1934 and confirmed at St Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Mauston WI. He attended Mauston High School. In 1953 he moved to Madison and worked at Oscar Mayer & Co. for almost 44 years. He met his wife Jeanette in 1955, and they were married on August 25, 1956, recently celebrating 67 years. In 1997 they retired and moved to the Tomah area. Marvin liked to read, farm, fish, cut wood, make wine, deer and turkey hunt, and snuggle with his pet Kitty. He and the family took many camping trips to Northern Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette, daughters Mary (Daniel) Woggon of Camp Douglas, Susan Styba of Cottage Grove, MN, Lori (Mark) Modaff of Madison, 9 grandchildren, Michelle (Christopher) DuPont, Sarah, Jacob, Nicolette, and Lukus Woggon, Bradley and Heather Styba, Caitlin and Connor Collies, 5 great-grandchildren, Layla, Dylana, and Maleeya Ingli, Audrey and Dylan DuPont, 1 sister Mildred Holmes of Mauston, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Edna Laack, 4 brothers, Carl Laack, Fred Laack, John Laack and Anton Laack, 4 sisters, Lillian Brassington, Irma Laack, Janet Zeller, and Caroline Potter, brothers-in-law Earl Brassington, Kenneth Zeller, Carroll Potter, Grant Sunday, and Jim Holmes, sisters-in-law Marie Laack, Virginia Laack, and JoAnn Laack, and a son-in-law Greg Styba.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave. Tomah, WI. Pastor Mark Kahrs will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah.
