Sparta - Daniel D. Stone, age 88, of Sparta, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was born October 30, 1934, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Dan worked as a mechanic for the Milwaukee Transport System for many years. He proudly designed adaptive devices to enhance the transportation for impaired passengers. Dan was a man of many talents that included square dance calling and yodeling. In his spare time he loved gambling, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. In his later years, Dan looked forward to his daily breakfast times with friends.
He is survived by his children, David (Mary Jo) Stone, Jill (Dennis) Brohmer, Debbie (Stephen) Marks and Vicki (Tom) Somers, 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ron Stone.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. concluding with a prayer service at the Torkelson Page-Smith Funeral Home, 1132 Angelo Road, Sparta, Wisconsin. Online condolences are available at www.torkelsonfuneralhome.com.
