Warrens - Janet M. Wilson, age 81, of Warrens, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Tomah Health Hospital. She was born April 28, 1942, to Dean and Ivanel (Lubbers) Hammel in Decorah, Iowa. Janet was united in marriage to William Wilson on May 20, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. To this union, they were blessed with 2 children. Janet was a devoted member of the Open-Door Baptist Church.
Children brought Janet much happiness; she was incredibly active as a girl scout leader, 4-H club, and helped in cub scouts. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, sewing, and quilting.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William; children, Wendy (Sam) Terzich and Scott (fiancée, Jana Murray) Wilson; grandchildren, Nicholas (fiancée, Kayla Gregory) Terzich, Heather Terzich, AmburLynn (fiancé, Bo Peterson) Wilson and Zachary Wilson; siblings, Jerry (Linda) Hammel, David (Sandra) Hammel, Donald (Jane) Hammel, Robert (Cheryl) Hammel, and Deanna Smith.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her 2 brothers, Ronald and Stephen; and her sister, Jennifer.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at the Open-Door Baptist Church, 7294 County Road O, Warrens, Wisconsin. Pastor Cass Shell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Warren Mills Cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
