Joyce I. Jorgensen, 65, sadly lost her battle with cancer on May 4, 2023, at Tomah Health. Joyce was born to Robert and Ilene (Fairfield) Lamb on July 12, 1957, in Racine, Wisconsin. After graduating high school in 1975, Joyce married Steve Jorgensen on her family farm. Together they had two sons, Scott, and Jason Jorgensen. After moving back to Tomah, Joyce began working as a packer at Best Power, and would continue to work there for the next 20 years. Prior to her retirement in 2020, she also worked as a cook at Walmart’s deli. When she wasn’t working, Joyce enjoyed spending her time singing and playing guitar with her siblings, playing cards with her friends, and taking her boys fishing. Joyce took pride in teaching her boys the ropes of “bull heading” and always made sure to pack her signature snacks, cinnamon rolls, and cold hot dogs. During her later years, Joyce savored every moment of being a grandma. She took every opportunity to spoil her grandkids and always sent them out the door with an “I love you, honey.” Joyce will be remembered for her witty sense of humor and above all else, her kind and loving heart. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her long-time partner, Keith Rose; two sons, Scott (Sara) Jorgensen of Camp Douglas and Jason (Ashley) Jorgensen of Tomah; many grandchildren, Sean (Katie) Jorgensen of Tomah, Trevor (Ashley) Kaiser of Camp Douglas, Corrin Jorgensen of Millston, Cage Jorgensen of Necedah, Kamdyn Kaiser of Necedah, Johannah Kara of Tomah, Chevelle Jorgensen of Tomah, Kodiak Kara of Tomah, Joshua Kara of Tomah, Jeremiah Kara of Tomah, and Bailey Jorgensen of Tomah; 3 great-grandchildren, Hunter Jorgensen, Damon Jorgensen, and Kaisley Kaiser; siblings, Robert Lamb, Connie (Jack) Garber, Gaylon (Sam) Lamb, Janice (Ron) Obernburger, and Sheila Lamb; special friend, Nadine; and many other family and friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Robert lamb and Ilene lamb, a sister-in-law Sue lamb.
