Seventy-six Sparta School District students, grades K-7, successfully completed the 2021 Sparta Scavenger Hunt list and received prizes at Sparta’s Memorial Park on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Steve Bennett and John Winkelmann, co-chairs of the event cosponsored by the Sparta Kiwanis Club and the Monroe County Local History Room & Museum, complimented the winners for their interest and energy.
They said participants had gained a broader view of their community, possibly more than many long-time residents.
