Tomah football concluding season against Onalaska

Posted

The Tomah football team (0-8) will look to get their first win of the season against Onalaska (4-4) this week.

The Timberwolves are coming off a 53-6 loss against the second-place team in the conference, West Salem.

Tomah has had a rough season this year as they have been dominated on the defensive side of the ball. They have let up 1,678 yards on the ground so far this season.

Onalaska has averaged 150 yards on the ground per game this season and has 1,197 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns on the year.

The Timberwolves have a good combo on offense with Tom Hesse and Drew Brookman. Brookman has 9 touchdowns and he is up over 600 yards on the season. He is the main target for Hesse and we have seen what they can do if they can connect on a few passes.

The Timberwolves will take on the Hilltoppers Friday at home at 7 p.m. It'll be the Timberwolves' last chance to capture their first win, which would give them something to build on next season.

MVC SCHEDULE

Sparta will host league leader River Falls in the last game of the regular season. West Salem is at Holmen and La Crosse Logan will attempt to add another win when they travel to face La Crosse Central.
