Tomah volleyball tops La Crosse Central in four to finish season sweep

The Tomah volleyball team finished out their season set against La Crosse Central with a 3 sets to 1 win on Tuesday, October 5. 

The Timberwolves (5-12, 3-7) were able to dominate the first set 25 to 13. The second set went to Central (3-14) in a close one 25 to 23. The Timberwolves would go on to take the next two sets, both at 25 to 23. 

The Timberwolves’ leading scorer on the day was Lauren North, who had 21 kills, 3 Aces, and 2 assists on offense. Defensively she was there for 12 digs.

Aisha Fritsche was the second-leading scorer on the day with 11 kills and 3 aces. On defense, she was there with 5 digs.

Beyond that, the scoring was spread out for the Timberwolves. Cami Hericks was in on the scoring with 9 kills on the day. Asha Eckelberg was all over the offensive side with 3 kills and 24 assists. Defensively she was there for 4 digs. 

Olivia Wall did her share on offense with 2 aces, 1 kill, and 14 assists. 

The defensive side was dominated by Hanah Walters, who had 16 digs in the three-set match. 

La Crosse Central was led by Ava Wintin, Avery Veenendall and Ruby Gerhard, who each had 5 kills in the game. Veenendall was there on offense to set up 24 scores on the day. She also was all over on defense with 9 digs. Sierra Friel was able to score on 4 aces in the game.
