   TOMAH - Carol F. Hanson, age 83, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Serenity House in Tomah.  She was born January 13, 1939, to Arthur and Lila (Becker) Kilgore in Grand Forks, ND.

   Carol enjoyed doing crafts and was willing to try anything new.  Spending time outdoors and gardening was a favorite pastime.  More than anything she loved spending time with her family and friends.  

   She is survived by her children, Lowell (Cynthia) Hanson Jr. of Buffalo, KY, Peter (Marina) Hanson of Viroqua, WI, Kathleen Hanson of Raton, NM, Kim (Steve) Eades of Warrens, WI, Erik Hanson of Eding, ND, Heidi (Gary) Schmidt of New Richmond, WI,  Holly McConaughey of Clayton, WI, Josi (Shane) Haerr, Elysia Semmerling and Cachia (Scott) Parks all of Haiku, Hawaii, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers, Charles Kilgore and David (Jane) Kilgore, a special friend, Char O’Brian of Haiku, Hawaii, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lila, a sister, Ardith Spitznas, grandsons, Sterling Eades and Matthias N. Hanson, granddaughter, Skylar Eades, and son-in-law, Brad McConaughey. 

   A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Memorials in Carol’s memory may be given to the Serenity House in Tomah.

   The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
