   SPARTA, WI, formerly of Racine - Katherine “Kay” Lynn Tracer, age 78, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at her home.

   Kay was born in Racine to the loving embrace of Frederick and Lillian (nee Worster) Eschmann on June 17, 1945.

   Kay was united in marriage to David Charles Buske on July 16, 1988, who preceded her in death on January 1, 2018. She later found love again and was united in marriage to Nathan Eric Tracer in Milwaukee, at their home, on May 9, 2021.

   Throughout her life, Kay dedicated herself to various pursuits, leaving indelible marks wherever she went. She worked tirelessly in the hospitality industry for many years, embodying the spirit of service and kindness. Her dedication and hard work led her to serve Racine County as the County Supervisor for 14 years before her well-deserved retirement.

   Kay was a faithful member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, where her devotion to her faith shone brightly. She found fulfillment in her community involvement and was held in high regard with the Monroe County republicans.

   Kay will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Nathan Tracer; children: Richard (Rebecca) Andersen, Kari (Kevin) Bruns, and Heidi (Brent) Genke; grandchildren: Benjamin, Amelia, Adam, Abigail, Jacob, Julia, Steven, James, Ashley, Sarah, and Molly; great-grandchildren: Lillian, Madison, Mila, Everett, Collins, Beau, and two on the way; stepchildren: Jessie (Kristin) Tracer, and Erick (Daisy) Tracer; step grandchildren: Lillian, and Daisy; other relatives, friends, and her beloved dogs: Kebbler, and Cloe.

   Kay was also preceded in death by her parents: Frederick and Lillian Eschmann.

   A Memorial Mass for Kay will be at St. Sabastian Catholic Church, 3126 95th Street, Sturtevant, WI 53177, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM with Fr. Steve Verghese celebrating. A private family committal service and inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5600 Holy Cross Road, Racine, WI 53402.
