Tomah - Patricia “Pat” Lee Pierce, 70 of Tomah, died Monday, April 24, 2023 suddenly at her home.
She was born on October 2, 1952 to Robert and Marilyn (Blaken) Hanson in Sparta. Pat was raised in the Sparta area and a member of Sparta High School, graduating from the Class of 1970. On April 20, 2013, Pat was united in marriage to Donald A. Pierce in Leon, WI. Pat worked at Fort McCoy as a trainer, retiring in 2010. Pat grew up with horses at a young age and pursued her passion for horses throughout her entire life. She enjoyed barrel racing, the rodeo, and attending numerous horse shows. Pat was a member of several horse-riding groups and clubs: WQHA, APHA, WWHSA, AQHA. She carried her love of horses her entire life.
She is survived by her husband, Donald of Tomah, her children, Sean Clark and Tanya Batchelor, a grandson, Cannon Clark, a sister Karen Shoemaker, sister-in-law, Mary (Joseph) Mosier, many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Tomah.
A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monsignor Kunz will officiate.
