   CAMP DOUGLAS - Rachel Alice Muehlenkamp, 64 of Camp Douglas, Wis. passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024, after a long struggle with vulvar cancer.

   She was born on July 30, 1959 to Paul and Yvette (LaPlume) Muehlenkamp.

   Rachel graduated from Tomah High School and was employed at the Tomah Public Housing Authority prior to her retirement in 2022.

   Rachel enjoyed baking, canning, gardening, walking, outdoor activities, planning and preparing big family holiday meals and making memories with family and friends. She was also active in community service, operating Muehlenkamp Farms LLC, and an advocate of the environment.

   Spring was Rachel’s favorite season and she loved celebrating Christmas with her family.

   Survivors include her mother, Yvette (LaPlume) Muehlenkamp; sister, Paula Muehlenkamp; brother, Frank (Jean) Muehlenkamp; brother, Phil (Michelle) Muehlenkamp; sister, Anne (John) Holthusen; sister, Ruth Muehlenkamp, sister Jennifer (Jeff) Pederson and many nieces, nephews,

great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

   She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alice and Herve LaPlume; grandparents, Genevieve and Carl Muehlenkamp; father, Paul Muehlenkamp; nephew, Nicholas Holthusen; and niece, Caitlin Muehlenkamp.

   A spring celebration of life is being planned.

   In lieu of flowers, Rachel’s wish was for everyone to spend time with family and friends making
