Sally Rae (Woodworth) Gray passed away on April 2, 2024, in Mesa, AZ.  She fought pancreatic cancer bravely for 6 months.  Sally was the youngest of 14 children, born on January 3, 1951, to Mary and Donald Woodworth in Sparta, Wisconsin.  She married Steven Gray of Tomah, Wisconsin on September 20, 1975, in Tomah.

Sally is survived by her husband, Steven, daughter, Angela Nicole (Patrick) Samuelson and two grandsons, Winston Harper and Huxley Vedder of Santa Cruz, California.  Sally is also survived by siblings, DeWitt Woodworth, Sheila Heineck, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Sally was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Jean (Ken) Womick, Nena (Odie) Clark, Betty (Carl) Sanders, Blanche (Marshall) Engebrecht, Shirley (Charles) White, Ellen (Carl) Ramech, Jane Woodworth, brothers, Donald Woodworth, Gary Woodworth, James (Mary Jane) Woodworth, Alan (Peggy) Woodworth and brother-in-law, Stephen Heineck.

Sally and Steven lived in Minneapolis and Blaine, MN for 38 years.  Sally always said she would never live in Arizona due to the heat.  But never underestimate the power of grandchildren! The grandchildren were in Arizona, so that’s where she went.  She loved her grandchildren very much and always enjoyed having them around. She made friends wherever she went, and those friends became her family.  She will be sadly missed by family and friends in Sparta, WI, Blaine, MN, Clitherall, MN and Mesa, AZ.   She enjoyed bingo, line dancing and country music.

Services for Sally will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tomah.  Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

The family would like to especially thank Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Mesa and Hospice of the Valley in Mesa for their kindness, compassion and special care they gave Sally.
