OAKDALE, MN - Violet Good, formerly of Sparta, WI, died Friday, February 23, 2024 at Oak Meadows Senior Living Center in Oakdale, MN. Violet was born in Monroe County, WI on May 5, 1926 to Paul & Augusta (Schulz) Knoll. She grew up in the Big Creek area. She married Maurice B. Good on April 21, 1945 in Sparta, WI. They moved to Illinois shortly thereafter. She and her husband, Maurice farmed near Lena, IL for 25 years. They then moved to Sparta in 1979. Violet worked as a nursing assistant for 10 years at Rolling Hills, then worked in interior decorating.
Violet is survived by two sons: Russell (Emilie) of North Branch, MN and Paul (Ann Marie) of Hastings, four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Maurice, a great grandson, Zachary and all of her siblings.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta, with Reverend Donald A. Ehler, First Congregational Church in Leon, officiating. Online condolences may be offered at www.schanhoferfh.com
